4 years agoRight-handed pitcher Jorge Lopez has been claimed off the waiver wire by the Baltimore Orioles after having been designated for assignment by the Royals on Friday. Lopez appeared just once out of relief this season and allowed two runs on three hits. He scuffled mightily last season with Kansas City across 39 appearances (18 starts), allowing 27 home runs in just 123 ⅔ frames. Baltimore will likely slot Lopez in as their swingman after having posted a 6.42 career ERA as a starter. Owners can leave Lopez on the wire in all season-long formats.--Jesse Borek
