Jorge Lopez Takes Tough Loss Tuesday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Jorge Lopez fell to 2-9 in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Astros. Lopez pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits (including a solo home run) and two walks with six strikeouts. It was a pretty strong performance, but Lopez's offense could not give him much support. The 28-year-old has not pitched well this season, compiling a 5.68 ERA through 15 starts. His next start should be a tougher one at the Blue Jays. Lopez should be avoided in fantasy regardless of matchup at this time.
