3 years agoBaltimore Orioles shortstop Jorge Mateo (shoulder) was removed from Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers. He was involved in a collision with Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson in the game. Mateo was attempting to run out a bunt when the two players collided. After the game, Mateo underwent X-rays and they came back negative. He has been diagnosed with a left shoulder/chest contusion. It sounds as if Mateo avoided something serious on Sunday. He should be considered day-to-day until we hear more from the team. The 26-year-old has been a nice fantasy asset this year, stealing 10 bases on 11 attempts while slashing .241/.280/.375.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
