Jorge Soler Moves Up the Batting Order
7 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Jorge Soler hit second for the Royals in Thursday night's game with the Los Angeles Angels. Whit Merrifield hit fifth, opening up the spot for Soler to move into. Unfortunately, Soler did not grab the opportunity, striking out four times in four at-bats. In his career, Soler has hit second in 18 games and owns a .260 average from that spot, his second highest in any spot in the lineup. In 2018 so far, Soler has a .207 average, has yet to hit a home run and has struck out 11 times with five walks. If Soler remains hitting second, then the boost in ABs could be nice for his fantasy owners, especially if he can get his bat hot and start clearing the fences.
