Jose Trevino Could Remain With The Rangers
7 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Jose Trevino could see some extended time on the major league roster. Trevino was added to the roster Friday, as cover for the suspended Robinson Chirinos. The 25-year old catcher came into the game Friday when Carlos Perez was injured, going 0-for-4 in his major league debut. Dependent on how Perez feels Saturday will determine whether Trevino remains on the roster after this weekend. Trevino has not been setting the world alight at Double-A with a .233 batting average and three home runs. If Trevino does stay on the roster he will replace Perez as the backup to Chirinos. However, even when he is in the lineup he will not have much value for fantasy purposes.
