7 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Jose Trevino has been optioned back to Double-A. The move comes less than 24 hours after Trevino was the hero in a walk-off win Sunday. This move now makes Isiah Kiner-Falefa the Rangers back up catcher, likely until Carlos Perez is activated early next week. Kiner-Falefa has hit .244, with two home runs and five steals in 226 plate appearances this season. For fantasy purposes Kiner-Falefa does not offer much fantasy value, and is unlikely to be a regular in the Rangers lineup now that the likes of Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus have returned.--Ben Rolfe
