4 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Jose Trevino will open the 2021 season as the No. 1 catcher for the club but he will likely be pushed all season long by a pair of young backstops. Jonah Heim, acquired from Oakland in the offseason, and Sam Huff both have the potential to be bat-first contributors at the MLB level while Trevino is known more for his defensive skills. Last season, he produced an 89 wRC+ but 10 of his 19 hits went for extra bases. He has limited fantasy value -- even in two-catcher leagues -- unless his power continues to improve or he has another offensive breakthrough in another area.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
