3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson is going on the COVID-19 injured list on Monday, according to manager Aaron Boone. Donaldson hasn't been tested for the virus, but Boone said that he's away from the team after reporting symptoms. It remains to be seen how long the 36-year-old will be out, but he'll obviously be back sooner if he returns a negative COVID test. Marwin Gonzalez is starting at the hot corner and is batting ninth on Monday against Baltimore Orioles right-hander Jordan Lyles with Donaldson out. Gleyber Torres is at second base and is batting cleanup. Both Gonzalez and Torres should play every day until Donaldson returns to the team. Torres is hitting only .234 on the year, but he does have five home runs and 19 RBI in 38 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
