3 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard Josh Hart (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game vs. Detroit due to left patellar tendinopathy. Hart has been vital to Portland's offense over the past five contests, in which he has averaged 28.6 points per night. Without him in the mix, CJ Elleby and Ben McLemore figure to get elevated minutes, while Brandon Williams and Trendon Watford are among a group that could be considered the team's top scoring options. While the ailment is not traditionally of the one-game absence variety, Hart's next chance to suit up comes Wednesday against the Spurs.--Jesse Borek
