Josh Jackson Scores 17 Points In Loss
6 years agoPhoenix Suns small forward/shooting guard Josh Jackson scored 17 points, grabbed three rebounds, doled out two assists, blocked two shots and came up with a steal in Friday's loss to the Nuggets. The 21-year-old was 5-for-14 from the field, 1-for-5 from beyond the arc, and 6-for-7 from the free throw line. He has played decently well this month, in part because he has seen more playing time due to starting some contests-- which he seemingly would rather do. The second-year pro has scored in double-figures in three of his last five games, averaging 14 points along with six rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals over his previous five outings. Jackson, who will likely be in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future with T.J. Warren injured, has a difficult matchup against the Lakers on Sunday. The Kansas product is averaging 11.5 points along with four rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 3.5 turnovers in two games against the Lakers.
