Josh Jacobs Could See More Screen Plays In 2022
3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs could see more screen passes come his way in 2022 under new head coach Josh McDaniels. In 2021, quarterback Derek Carr had 5.2% of his pass yardage come from screens, which ranked 25th in the league. New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones had 9.7% of his yardage come from screens, which ranked 11th in the NFL. Jacobs did have a career-high 54 receptions on 64 targets for 348 yards this year, but he could have to contend with Kenyan Drake more in the screen game next season. Either way, Jacobs should benefit from the addition of the offensive mastermind that is McDaniels. He'll be a low-end RB1 target in an offense that should become more efficient.
