3 years agoBoston Celtics shooting guard Josh Richardson (foot) has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against Miami due to a left foot contusion. Richardson has scuffled as he acclimates to the Celtics' second unit in the early part of the season, having scored in double figures just twice. His 21.4 minutes per game average is far below his marks of previous years and is on pace to be his lowest since his rookie season in 2015-16. Without him in the second unit, look for Dennis Schroder and Romeo Langford to take on larger roles, but much of that may be negated by Miami's tenacious defense. Richardson's next chance to suit up comes Saturday against another of his former squads, Dallas.--Jesse Borek
