3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Josh Rojas (hand) was out of the lineup for the second straight day on Monday against the Kansas City Royals after he left Saturday's game with a left hand contusion that he sustained on a hit by pitch. However, manager Torey Lovullo said Rojas is "progressing very well." "Swelling has gone down considerably in his hand," Lovullo said. "Function is returning to normal. Not quite normal, but getting there, which is a huge sign for us. Like I said the other day, we feel like we dodged a bullet there." It sounds as though the 27-year-old is just day-to-day, and he could return on Tuesday, at the earliest. He's hitting .283/.382/.478 with an .860 OPS, three home runs, seven RBI, 10 runs scored and three stolen bases on the year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
