Jrue Holiday Continues To Make Baskets
7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday has been a big part of why the Pelicans have survived the loss of DeMarcus Cousins and currently sit fourth in the playoff picture in the West. On Wednesday against the Kings and with Anthony Davis (ankle) out for the fourth quarter, Holiday scored 23 points on 9-for-17 shooting and added eight assists and three steals. How we value Holiday moving forward depends on how fast Davis returns, but if Davis does miss time, Holiday becomes the focal point of the Pelicans offense. On Friday against the Wizards, Holiday might find it tough sledding against a defense that ranks 12th in defensive rating, but his upside in the event of a Davis absence is too great to ignore.
