Jrue Holiday Narrowly Misses Triple-Double During Defeat
6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans point/shooting guard Jrue Holiday came just an assist shy of converting his first triple-double of the season Monday against the Indiana Pacers. Holiday, who is likely to become the new face of the New Orleans franchise amidst rumors of Anthony Davis’ departure, attempted to lead the offense Monday, shooting 6-for-15 from the floor (including 0-for-7 from deep) while dishing out nine dimes. His 8.0 assists per game leave him tied with James Harden for fourth-most in the NBA, looking to move up the leaderboard when he faces the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. With Elfrid Payton still sidelined in the backcourt, Holiday, who saw 39 minutes Monday, should continue to see a massive workload.
