Julio Jones Could Put Down a Marker Thursday
6 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones will be looking to lay down a big marker for the season ahead in the opening game against the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday. Jones is coming off his worst year as pro in terms of touchdowns per games played. Despite playing all 16 games last season, Jones managed to find the end zone just three times. In week one he will face a Philadelphia Eagles defense which ranked 11th worst in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. On average the Eagles surrendered 0.9 touchdowns per game to receivers last year, and Jones will be hoping to score one to kick start his season. Jones' quality means he is a must-start this week, especially given he is coming into the season healthier than ever before.
