6 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones was not active for the first preseason game Friday. Jones does not appear to be a carrying an injury and therefore this was a team decision. Jones is looking to join an elite club by having five straight years with over 1,400 receiving yards. At this stage in his career, Jones does not need to work in preseason to get himself up to speed with Matt Ryan. As long as Jones remains a full go in practice then expect him to be ready for the regular season, regardless of his status for preseason games.--Ben Rolfe
