Julius Randle Agrees To Deal With New Orleans
6 years agoFormer Los Angeles Lakers power forward Julius Randle has agreed to a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. Originally a restricted free agent, Randle reportedly asked the team to withdraw their qualifying offer and let him enter unrestricted free agency after the team brought in LeBron James. Randle will form an intriguing big rotation with Anthony Davis and Nikola Mirotic. Last season, Randle averaged 16.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game for the Lakers while starting just 49 of the 82 games he played. With more playing time, Randle could average a double-double, though his scoring numbers might not improve any as the third option on the team behind Davis and Jrue Holiday.
