Julius Randle Narrowly Misses Double-Double
7 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward/center Julius Randle narrowly missed acquiring a double-double on Sunday. Randle scored 15 points on 4-for-11 from the field. Though his shooting numbers from the floor weren't anything to write home about, he made up for it on the free throw line, sinking 7-for-8 as well as grabbing nine boards in the win over the Atlanta Hawks. Randle has been playing well as of late, especially while center Brook Lopez was out dealing with an ankle sprain that kept him out for a few weeks. He continues to be held back by his lack of playing time caused by the deep Laker's front court that Includes forwards Kyle Kuzma, Larry Nance Jr. and Lopez. However, with his name swirling around the rumor mill in recent weeks, Randle could end up on a team where he finds a permanent spot in the starting rotation as well as a significant increase in minutes.
