Julius Randle Produces In Limited Minutes Versus Blazers
5 years agoNew York Knicks forward Julius Randle was one of the few on the team to have some semblance of a good game against Portland, scoring 15 points on six of 11 shooting to go with seven rebounds and three assists across 25 minutes. It doesn't look like the head coach was the entire problem in New York, as the Knicks lost by 28. All of Randle's numbers are down from a season ago, which isn't surprising given the clunky state of New York's roster. More alarming, though, is Randle's career-high 3.5 three-point attempts per game, of which he is canning just 23.8 percent. Until he can return to some semblance of the bully ball he played down in New Orleans, Randle won't meet fantasy expectations, even on a team begging for someone to take control of the offense.
