Justin Rose's Beginning Is Key To End At Masters
3 years agoJustin Rose knows he has to get off to a good start on Thursday. Weather could be iffy for practice rounds and expects to improve as the day moves along on Thursday. Rose has not fared well since The Farmers Invitational. He barely made the weekend then missed the cut in his next two tournaments (Arnold Palmer and The Players). Rose's approach and work around the greens has been a problem all season (he loses nearly a half a stroke on average). His birdie average is solid at 4.36 but not having length could hurt his chances as the course dries out. Sunnier and warmer weather is expected Friday-Sunday. If Rose does not make the putts early, his chances late will not be there.
