6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds during Friday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. After playing a season-high 35 minutes last time out, Nurkic was back to just 23 minutes Friday, although he held Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns in check while on the floor. Nurkic continues to shoot a career-best from the floor overall, as he has eight double-doubles in his first 15 games of the season. He’ll clash with the Washington Wizards on Sunday, who have yielded a high volume of points to centers this season, although center Dwight Howard is back on the scene which should deliver a battle down low.--Jesse Borek
