Karl-Anthony Towns Announces Positive COVID-19 Test
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns took to Twitter on Friday night to reveal that he tested positive for COVID-19 and would immediately begin to quarantine. The contest that was scheduled between Memphis and Minnesota has been waived off. It was announced earlier in the week that both Juan Hernangomez and Ricky Rubio would miss time under the league's health and safety protocols, with Towns' positive test the latest indication that Minnesota may be facing a multi-game shutdown. Their next contest is scheduled for Monday versus Atlanta, but fantasy managers can expect Towns to miss a minimum of five games as he figures to spend the next 10-14 days away from the team.
