Karl-Anthony Towns Continues To Enjoy His Best Stretch Of Season
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns had an inefficient double-double with 28 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals over 38 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Timberwolves. The 23-year-old was only 11-for-26 from the field and 1-for-7 from beyond the arc, although he was 5-for-6 from the charity stripe. It was his second most shot attempts this season, and the third time he put up 20 or more shots in seven games this month. The fourth-year pro did not turn over the ball against Suns, marking the first time that has occurred since Oct. 20. Towns is enjoying his best stretch of the season as he has produced nine double-doubles over his last 10 games, averaging 24.6 points along with 12 caroms, 1.6 blocks and 1.8 triples during this stretch. The University of Kentucky product is a must-start versus the Kings, who he has tallied 58 points and 30 rebounds in the teams first two meetings this year.
