Karl-Anthony Towns Goes For 34 Points In Return
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns got back onto the floor for Tuesday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets following a one-game absence due to a knee injury. He was without teammates Andrew Wiggins, Derrick Rose and Jeff Teague, leaving much of the offensive duties in Towns’ hands, which allowed him to collect 34 points on 14-for-25 shooting across 32 minutes. He recorded his seventh double-double in his last eight games by adding 10 rebounds, three blocks and three assists. Towns should figure to continue receiving a massive workload if any of the team’s other three primary scoring options miss Thursday’s match-up against the Utah Jazz, whom Towns has averaged 27.7 points per game against in three contests this season.
