Karl-Anthony Towns Propels Timberwolves Over Lakers

The 7-footer was 10-for-18 from the field, including 3-for-5 from long distance, and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Towns tallied seven points during a key early third quarter 11-1 run that turned the game in the Wolves favor. The game marked his 31st double-double of the season. He has been playing his best basketball of the season since Christmas. The fourth-year pro has produced 26.2 points, 14.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.7 triples and 1.2 steals along with 2.1 blocks as well as plus-6.7 rating over this 15-game stretch. Towns will look to pick up his fourth straight double-double against Rudy Gobert and the Jazz on Friday. The Kentucky product dominated the Jazz in the first meeting this year, posting 28 points along with 16 caroms and four assists.
