4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns produced his second straight 25-point double-double in Wednesday's 118-107 loss to the Grizzlies. Towns' 14 rebounds were a season-high- and his perfect 8 of 8 shooting from the free-throw line was a nice category boost. The star big man has been a monster since returning from a left wrist injury, with averages of 25 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 blocks, and 1.5 triples per game in two contests. Towns has been more engaged defensively early on, which would be excellent news if he can maintain that along with his usual offensive excellence. He'll get a day off before taking on the Grizzlies again on Friday.--Tim Capurso
