Karl-Anthony Towns Scores 36 Points In Losing Effort
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns posted 36 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to the Washington Wizards. Towns made 13 of 18 shots from the field and four of six from three. The former first-overall pick added in three assists, 10 rebounds and a block but struggled with turnovers, recording seven. Still, it was another strong offensive performance for the NBA's most versatile big man. He's enjoyed career-highs in points (26.8), assists (4.1), steals (1.3) and three-point percentage (42.5) through 10 games. The 24-year-old has averaged a career-high in free-throw attempts, 6.9, but has shot a career-low 73.9 percent. Towns returned first-round fantasy value so far but could have another gear in him if he can start knocking down those free throws.
