5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns has his status up in the air for Wednesday’s game versus the New Orleans Pelicans due to a left knee sprain. Towns has not missed a game since Nov. 4, with Gorgui Dieng the likeliest candidate to see a significant uptick in minutes should the big man be sidelined, as Andrew Wiggins would presumably carry a major offensive load in his own right. Towns is in the midst of a dominant stretch that has seen him average 31 points and 12.7 rebounds over his last three contests. Check back prior to tip-off to get a read on his status for what should be a fortuitous matchup for one of the league’s elite fantasy options.--Jesse Borek
