Kawhi Leonard Agrees To New Deal With Clippers
3 years agoFree-agent forward Kawhi Leonard (knee) agreed to a four-year, $176 million deal to remain in Los Angeles. Leonard recently opted out of a $36 million player option, so naturally, many would speculate where he would end up next. However, after tearing the ACL in his right knee during the postseason, requiring surgery, the Clippers managed to retain the superstar, although it is uncertain if the multi-time NBA Champion will play during the 2021-22 campaign. Of course, as a result of the injury, Leonard should no longer be considered a first-round option in redraft formats, primarily since he faces months of rehab moving ahead.
