Kawhi Leonard Posts A Double-Double in 45 Minutes
5 years agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard finished off a loss to the Celtics on Thursday with 28 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. The All-Star break is coming at the right time, though, because Leonard is going to need some serious load management following this double-overtime thriller that marked a season-high 45 minutes played for Leonard. He shot just 10 of 27 from the field and one of six from distance but still managed to convert all seven of his free-throw attempts. Leonard's DNPs have frustrated fantasy owners all season long, but the Clippers have just three back-to-back sets remaining. This isn't likely to absolve Leonard of the occasional rest game down the stretch, but L.A.'s quest for momentum heading into the playoffs should only bring out more of the elite production that Leonard has been no stranger to when he's touched the court this season.
