6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves rookie small forward Keita Bates-Diop grabbed six rebounds and was active on the floor in Minnesota's preseason opener Saturday night, but he finished with six points on a disappointing 1-for-9 shooting night. The encouraging sign is that Bates-Diop led the bench in minutes played and took five shots from deep; even if those aren't falling yet, his usage suggests he could play a key role in this rotation this season, though things remain up in the air until Jimmy Butler has been traded.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
