Kelly Olynyk Struggles Shooting, Posts Double-Double
6 years agoMiami Heat power forward/center Kelly Olynyk scored 15 points, collected 10 caroms, dimed out four assists, blocked a shot and registered a steal in Saturday's victory over the Clippers. The 27-year-old was only 2-for-13 from the field and 2-for-8 from beyond the arc. It was his first double-double of the season. He got 60 percent of his points from the free throw line as he set season marks with nine makes and 11 attempts. The 7-foot big man has played extremely well over the last five games, averaging 15 points along with seven rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.6 three-pointers and 1.2 steals. Olynyk, who has filled the stat sheet in each of his last three games, will look to extend his consecutive double-figures scoring streak to six straight games against the Lakers on Monday.
