Kelly Oubre Jr. Held In Check, Records Six Points
5 years agoPhoenix Suns small/power forward Kelly Oubre Jr. picked up two fouls early in the first quarter, setting the tone for what would be a rough night during Friday’s defeat to the Golden State Warriors. Oubre finished with six points on 2-for-5 shooting, just the third time that he finished in single digits all season while tying his season low in shot attempts. He entered the game hampered by a groin injury that popped him up on the team’s injury report, which may have contributed to him seeing just 23 minutes of action as much as the fouls did. He snagged five rebounds and added two assists, but the overall down performance was a rare anomaly from Oubre, who looks to get back on track Saturday versus Sacramento, whom he has shot 50.5 percent from the field against for his career, his second-best mark against any opponent.
