7 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker scored 40 points in a win over Atlanta on Thursday. Walker was 13-for-26 from the field and 6-for-11 from three. The Hornets were surprisingly quiet at the trade deadline, which means Walker will continue to put up over 20 points and around five assists per game. Walker only had three assists in this one, but that was because he seemed to make the decision to be aggressive. At one point, he scored 17 out of Charlotte's 20 points during a 20-3 run that took the game into overtime. The Hornets are back at it again on Friday against Utah. Look for something more around his average after a heavy workload from Walker on Thursday.--Wai Sallas
