Kemba Walker Hits Miami for 30 Points
7 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker scored a second big night in back-to-back games in a loss to Miami on Saturday. On Friday, Walker scored 29 points, and he put up 30 points on 8-for-22 shooting Saturday. Walker had an opportunity to tie the game with 30 seconds left but missed the second of two free throws. He had a game high in points and a team-high five assists. It looks as though Walker has thrown all caution to the wind and has fully embraced the shooter's role in Charlotte. He has taken 20 or more shots in his last five games, shooting better than 40 percent just once. The Hornets are the second worst team in the league in assists, and it might have a bit to do with their point guard shooting as much as he has recently. Charlotte will take on Indiana on Monday and try to prevent their first two-game losing streak since December.
