7 years agoGolden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant played in 68 games during the 2017-2018 regular season, averaging 26.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. There are two important stretches to look at when determining what Durant's fantasy outlook for the first-round series against the San Antonio Spurs looks like: his performances against San Antonio this season and his performances after Stephen Curry went down for the regular season. Against San Antonio, Durant averaged 23.7 points in three games on 49.1 percent shooting, both numbers were worse than Durant's season averages. Meanwhile, over 11 games to end the season with Curry sidelined, Durant averaged 27.5 points per game on 47.2 percent shooting. He's taken 7.2 threes per game over that span. Durant will be the primary scoring threat against the Spurs, but he's at risk to struggle more than usual with his shot and will need to avoid settling for threes against San Antonio's strong three-point defense if he wants to be successful. Seeing how he looks after the first game will tell DFS players a lot about how much to trust Durant.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
