Kevin Durant Could Return Thursday
3 years agoBrooklyn Nets power forward Kevin Durant (knee) is reportedly on track to make his return to action Thursday against the Heat, which would give the franchise a significant jolt from its recent slide. Durant has been sidelined since Jan. 15 due to a sprained left MCL, so fantasy managers will want to temper DFS expectations out of the gate, as the combination of a difficult matchup and a likely minutes limit throws the four-time scoring champs upside in flux. When healthy, Durant has been an elite fantasy producer this season, averaging 29.3 points, 7.4 boards, and 5.8 assists per outing, all while shooting 52 percent overall. James Johnson would figure to see a slight role reduction upon Durant's return, while Seth Curry, Cam Thomas, and Patty Mills would also forgo some of their offensive upside. Fantasy managers will want to check back Thursday to confirm Durant's status.
