6 years agoGolden State Warriors small forward Kevin Durant scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds, came up with one assist and doled out seven assists in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers. The 30-year-old was 5-for-13 from the field, 3-for-8 from beyond the arc and 8-for-8 from the free throw line. He entered the game averaging an NBA-best 31.1 points on Christmas. The 12th-year vet has now scored 20 or more points in eight straight games and 22 of 23. Durant, who is making 2.4 triples a game at a clip of 40.3 percent in December, will look to extend his streak of at least one three-pointer to 19 consecutive games on Thursday against the Trail Blazers.--Daniel Benjamin
