3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays will be placing outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (hip) on the injured list, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Kiermaier exited Monday's game against the New York Yankees in the second inning after tweaking his hip during an at-bat. His injury is being described as left hip inflammation. His timetable is unclear at this point. Fellow outfielder Manuel Margot (knee) also suffered an injury on Monday and he's heading to the injured list as well so the team will be extremely short-handed in the outfield over the coming weeks. Josh Lowe, who was called up on Monday, figures to see a good amount of playing time while Brett Phillips should also see a boost. Additionally, the team is expected to call up outfielder Luke Raley on Tuesday and he'll be in the mix for some starts with both Kiermaier and Margot out as well.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
