Kevin Love Snatches 18 Rebounds In Season Opener
5 years agoCleveland Cavaliers power forward/center Kevin Love reminded the league that he remains an elite rebounder by reeling off 18 boards during Wednesday’s season-opening defeat to the Orlando Magic. While Love was quiet on the offensive end (11 points, 4-for-10 shooting overall), he also pitched in three assists across his 36 minutes. With both Tristan Thompson and Larry Nance Jr. healthy to open the year, there was some concern that the duo might cut into Love’s rebounding totals, but after snatching 17 of his rebounds on the defensive end alone, those concerns appear to have been squelched early. He faces a stingy Indiana defensive unit Saturday.
