Kevin Streelman Going Through A Rough Patch
3 years agoIn May and June, there might not have been a more consistent member of the PGA Tour than Kevin Streelman. In five starts from the Wells Fargo Championship in early May, to the U.S. Open six weeks later, Streelman posted a finish no worse than T26. In both the PGA and U.S. Open, Streelman finished inside the top-15. For Streelman, he had no finishes inside the top-15 at a major since the 2016 U.S. Open, so it was fair to say Streelman was playing some of the best golf of his career in that six-week stretch. However, in his last two starts at the Travelers Championship and John Deere Classic, Streelman has missed the weekend. There is some concern with that, as they are both easy courses, but Streelman has played better in 2021 on tough courses than easy ones. Streelman lost over two strokes last week on the green, if he doesn't clean that up, he will miss his third straight weekend of golf.
