Kirk Cousins A Decent QB2 In Week 3
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is coming off a brutal performance in Week 2, but there's some reason for optimism heading into Week 3. The Raiders have been dreadful against the pass so far, allowing 342.5 yards/game and a 68% completion percentage facing Joe Flacco and Patrick Mahomes. They don't have an imposing pass-rush, either, so that helps for an offensive line that has allowed pressure at a league-high rate (60.9%). Dalvin Cook will likely see at least 20 touches once again, but the Raiders will have a very tough time covering Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen so the opportunities should be there for Cousins. The possibility of limited passing attempts caps his upside, though, as Vegas currently has the Vikings as nine-point favorites at home. Consider Cousins a mid-range QB2 for Week 3, but he's not an exciting play in daily formats due to his low projected volume.
