Kirk Cousins Posts Useful Week 5 Line In Victory
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins' performance through Week 4 had many fantasy managers writing him off, but he came through in a pretty big way in Week 5 against the New York Giants. Cousins was 22-of-27 (81%) passing for 306 yards and two touchdowns to Adam Thielen in a resounding 28-10 road win. Cousins took advantage of a shaky Giants secondary early and often, completing 19-of-23 passes for 278 yards and a touchdown before halftime. Cousins has had an up-and-down season up to this point (to say the least), but his Week 5 performance was definitely encouraging and proves that he is capable of solid QB2 performances in the right matchups. Cousins will have another golden matchup in a Week 6 at home against the Philadelphia Eagles and should be confidently started as a mid-tier QB2 with upside.
