6 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 36-of-50 passing attempts for 422 yards and three touchdowns on Thursday night, tacking on 28 rushing yards on four attempts. In a night where the Vikings played from behind all game and eventually fell to the Los Angeles Rams 38-31, Cousins actually led the team in rushing yards. He hit his former Redskins teammate Aldrick Robinson with touchdown strikes in the first and second quarter, adding a third touchdown on a beautiful 45-yard seam pass to Adam Thielen. Cousins was under constant pressure from the Rams front all night, and the Vikings non-existent running game allowed the defense to key on the pass rush. Cousins was sacked four times total, with the final one being a strip-sack that effectively ended the game. Cousins has been extremely productive this year, registering a 10/2 touchdown-to-interception ratio, 1,387 yards passing, 69.3% completion percentage, and a 103.6 quarterback rating through four weeks. He has exceeded 47 passing attempts in 3-of-4 games. Kirk Cousins remains in the QB1 conversation with elite-upside given the state of the Vikings offense (and their defense).--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
