3 years agoGolden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson was uber-aggressive offensively during Friday's loss to the Hawks, as he set a season high with 26 field-goal attempts, with 16 of those coming from long range. To his credit, he knocked down nine threes en route to a game-high 37-point performance, adding in seven rebounds and three assists across his 40 minutes of action. Thompson has enjoyed elevated offensive duties since Stephen Curry (foot) went down, but the combination of his propensity to shoot at will alongside his highest minutes total of the season bodes well for the sharpshooter entering the playoffs. On paper, he'll have a tough matchup Sunday vs. Washington, who has allowed the opposition the fewest made threes per game (10.4) in the league this season.--Jesse Borek
