6 years agoGolden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson collected 23 points on 9-for-21 shooting during Saturday’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thompson was tamed by recent standards and went just 3-for-8 from beyond the arc, but still managed to knock down multiple triples for the 17th consecutive contest. He has now gotten up at least 21 shot attempts in each of his last six games, a number not likely to drop as long as Kevin Durant remains out. For good measure, Thompson added eight rebounds, four assists and three steals Saturday, hitting his groove right before facing off with the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, who have held him to 17.3 points per game during his career, his second-lowest total against any opponent.--Jesse Borek
