6 years agoGolden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson led his team in scoring for the third consecutive game during Friday’s victory over the Phoenix Suns. It marks just the 11th time this season Thompson has been Golden State’s high-point man, but with his 25 points on 9-for-17 shooting, including 4-for-5 from deep, Thompson is quietly inching his way closer to a career-best year. On his way to his fifth consecutive All-Star appearance, Thompson is already averaging a career-high 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest this season. His scoring average (22.0) is just incrementally behind his single-season best (22.3 in 2016-17), with nearly two months to play.--Jesse Borek
