Kole Calhoun Connects For His Ninth Home Run
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Kole Calhoun finished 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and three runs scored in Thursday's 13-0 whitewashing of the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Calhoun had a five-game hitting streak snapped in Wednesday's game, but he is still hitting an impressive .364 (8-for-22) with two doubles, two homers and five RBI with seven runs scored in seven games in the month of May. He has raised his average from .194 to .223 just since flipping the calendar from April to May. Calhoun is worth scooping up off the trash heap if he is still unowned, especially if you're searching for cheap power.
