6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Kole Calhoun is beginning to hit the ball with more authority, posting four extra-base hits over his last five games. Three of those hits have left the yard as Calhoun tries to make up for lost time after a dismal start to his season. The Angels have deployed Calhoun in the leadoff spot in the first month of the season and is slashing .243/.325/.514 at the top of the order through 74 at-bats. Calhoun is mostly a slugger first but has failed to post a plus-.400 slugging percentage since 2016. The 31-year-old is a role player, at best, on offense and fantasy owners should look elsewhere for production right now.--Joey C - RotoBaller
